Un-Birthday Celebrations!
The Literary Interest Society not only wants to encourage the creativity of the future but also remember the creativity of the past. We do this by celebrating at least one author every month and looking not only at their work but also look at other works that pertain to that author's genre. Unless otherwise indicated, LIS celebrates in the Fireside Lounge in the New Dorms where we also eat cake! Come join us!

On March 22nd the Literary Interest Society will host a celebration featuring a discussion of the author, her impact on young adult literature, and share selections from her work. Bring your favorite novel by the author (The Hunger Games) and feel free to share a selection with the group or just sit back and learn more about this extraordinary author and enjoy some birthday cake!
Happy Un-Birthday William Shakespeare!
On April 23rd LIS will celebrate William Shakespeare's work and his impact on our culture by hosting a sonnet read-a-thon in the Fireside Lounge. In order to read all the sonnets during our event, LIS is asking volunteers to select their favorite Shakespearean sonnet. Sonnets will not be repeated, so watch for the email and let us know which one you would like to read!
