It's time for the LIS Apparel Sale! LIS will be offering t-shirts, yoga pants,  shorts, and tote bags. As you will see the LIS Officers have worked hard to produce items that would appeal to a variety of interests. There are three  different options for t-shirts, so please be careful when completing the order  form. All   t-shirts will be sold for $10 each, yoga pants will be $16, shorts  will be $12, and tote bags will be $10

On Monday, December 5th in honor of Walt Disney's birthday, the Literary Interest Society (LIS) will host a celebration in the Bearcat Cave from 3:30pm to 4:30pm! Festivities will include a discussion of the film maker as well as selections from his work. Because Disney is beloved by children of all ages, LIS would like to invite faculty, staff, and children to attend the event as well! Popcorn will be provided! Bring your favorite Disney/Pixar character and feel free to share your impressions with the group or just sit back and learn more about this innovator of the silver screen and enjoy a birthday treat!

As you know the Clinton County Showcase in Breese is presenting Every Christmas Story Ever Told! on  Friday, December 16th at 8pm. This delightful spoof features renditions of beloved Christmas stories! What a perfect antidote for end of the semester stress! This is an eagerly anticipated event, so please take a moment to seriously consider attending. Tickets are required to see this event and reservations may be made after Friday, December 2nd by calling 618-526-8266.

Join the talented thespians of the Looking Glass Playhouse for Haunted Happenings story telling tour! Costumed guides will escort you through downtown Lebanon to hear stories of the unusual...the creepy.. and the down-right scary.
Tour fee is $5. Material is suitable for Halloween lovers of all ages. Jackets, gloves, and comfortable walking shoes are encouraged.
If you would like to participate in this event, please contact LIS at [email protected]. While LIS cannot pay for you to attend this event, we would like to make a reservation for our group so we can enjoy the Halloween festivities together. Happy Halloween!
 
LIS meetings will be held on the first Friday of every month at noon in the Writing Center located at 509 Stanton Street (the white house behind Holman Library). Look forward to seeing you there! :)
